Saw a mail today date is mentioned as
mm/dd/yyyy instead of dd/mm/yyyy, couldn't make out the date at all and thought
person was out of office for a month instead of a day. Got so irritated. Why we
keep aping America like that. Now if your read newspaper everywhere its million
and billion, date American style. Every country in the world wants to have its
own identity, America itself wants different English, they will spell things
differently, invent their own jargons and put American English as an option on
all their soft wares as far as words seem misspelled on MS word if you write
the a few spellings in British English instead of American. Canada will not do
anything that resembles America. If America has miles Canada will have
Kilometers.
Why we are the only ones who love to ape others
